- if you are immediatly getting a NO CARRIER after your dial attempt
- the most likely reason is somehow the computer is sending a keystroke
- to the modem after the dial attempt and the modem is thinking its
- a call cancel [most modems will cancel a call on any keystroke] and
- its hanging up and sending out a NO CARRIER signal
